Dear Shareholders,
At the CKA Birla Group we are building a diversified, globally oriented enterprise focused on long-term value creation. We pursue disciplined growth and operational excellence while strengthening our international presence.
Our approach balances commercial success with responsible stewardship and sustainable impact and we remain committed to expanding access to education, improving healthcare outcomes and fostering innovation.
Through enduring institutions and responsible leadership, we seek to contribute to long-term economic and social progress.
For BirlaNu, 2025-26 was a year of significant inflection in our strategic journey. We have now fully transitioned from HIL to BirlaNu, bringing together the entire breadth of our offerings across Pipes, Construction Chemicals, Putty, Roofs, Walls and Floors under one name and one identity. This transformation reflects our collective ambition to be a leading global provider of innovative and sustainable Home & Building solutions.
The acquisition of Clean Coats was another significant milestone this year. This is a strategic step to strengthen BirlaNu’s portfolio in specialty construction chemicals and high-performance coatings and brings together Clean Coats’ technical expertise, proven formulations, and export capability with BirlaNu’s strong brand presence, market reach, institutional relationships, and execution scale.
The acquisition is a step forward in our commitment to double our portfolio over the next few years and marked continued progress in reshaping our portfolio towards more value-added and differentiated offerings. For our shareholders, this transaction offers significant long-term value creation through deeper participation in the fast-growing high-value segment of specialised Construction Chemicals.
As we embraced our new name and purpose, we also built meaningful momentum on both growth and profitability despite operating in a challenging macroeconomic and geopolitical environment. We delivered a consolidated revenue of ₹3,730 crores, growing by 3% over last year. On a standalone basis (India business), we clocked revenue of ₹2,427 crores during the year and delivered a 39% growth in EBITDA to ₹146 crores.
The Walls business delivered solid performance recording a growth of 14% over the previous year. Construction Chemicals continued its strong momentum, growing 45% year on year. In the Roofs segment, where we continue to be the market leader, we further strengthened our leadership position while sustaining a clear premium in both pricing and profitability over the broader market and competition. The Pipes segment operated in a challenging and volatile environment during the year, impacted by subdued demand conditions and sharp volatility in resin prices. Despite these headwinds, the business witnessed strong growth and profitability momentum in H2, supported by decisive cost actions, improved realisations and stronger execution.
At Parador, the business navigated weak European demand, pricing pressure and input cost inflation due to which profitability was under pressure for most of the year. However, the business enters FY27 with improving momentum driven by deeper European retail penetration, expansion into growth markets such as the US and India, targeted pricing moves and gains from cost-optimisation initiatives implemented in FY26.
Our brands continue to be recognised for their equity of trust and quality. Charminar and BirlaNu Aerocon were recognised as Superbrands, while BirlaNu Aerocon AAC Blocks received the INEX Award as an Iconic Brand Leader. BirlaNu Leakproof Pipes was recognised amongst India’s Most Trusted Brands and amongst the Best Plastics and Polymers Brands by ET Now. Parador’s excellence in design, quality and customer service was acknowledged through the FX Design Awards and the Toom Supplier of the Year recognition.
We also continued to advance our sustainability agenda, with certifications such as GreenPro, GRIHA etc. across most of our product categories in India and prestigious recognitions for Parador, including the German Sustainability Award and EcoVadis Gold certification. Together, these achievements reaffirm our commitment to building trusted brands anchored in innovation, sustainability and long-term value creation.
At BirlaNu, we believed that growth must be anchored in responsibility - towards our customers, communities and our people. During the year, our social initiatives positively impacted over 20,000 beneficiaries from underserved communities, reflecting our commitment to inclusive and meaningful progress.
We also continued to invest in strengthening organisational capabilities, building future-ready leadership and nurturing a culture rooted in agility, collaboration and continuous learning. We believe our people remain our greatest strength and a key driver of long-term sustainable growth.
Digital technology, driven by AI, is fundamentally reshaping the way businesses operate and engage with stakeholders. This year, we advanced our AI-led digital initiatives across sales, manufacturing and supply chain operations to improve productivity, responsiveness and decision-making. We revamped our loyalty programs, with several industry-firsts, to deepen channel engagement and enhance customer connectivity.
We remain deeply committed to creating long-term value for all our stakeholders. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I thank you for your continued trust and support. As we enter this year, we do so with confidence, guided by what has always defined us; trust, innovation, agility, responsibility and purposeful growth.
Warmly,
CK Birla
Chairman
